The OB-2650 PremiumAir mattress is designed to help prevent bedsores and protect sensitive skin for people who spend long periods of time in bed. It uses alternating air pressure and gentle airflow to relieve pressure on the body, keep the skin cool and dry, and reduce irritation so the patient can rest more comfortably. 

Low-Noise Operation:

This model also features a low-noise design, making operation quieter and more soothing for both patients and caregivers—ideal for nighttime use, shared rooms, and home environments where noise matters.

Cell-on-Cell Mattress Design / 24H Power Outage Protection

The mattress uses a strong cell-on-cell design that helps keep the lower layer inflated for up to 24 hours during a power outage, helping prevent the patient from sinking or “bottoming out.” If power fails, the system automatically activates both audio and visual warnings. As long as the air hose remains connected to the control unit, the base layer stays inflated to maintain safety. The control unit, mounted on the bed’s footboard, is simple to operate and allows caregivers to manage all essential settings with ease—even in urgent or unexpected situations.

Vibration Massager to Aid Phlegm Removal

The OB-2650 includes four built-in vibration massagers that use an advanced microprocessor to offer multiple massage modes. These gentle vibrations help loosen chest congestion and support the removal of phlegm while also reducing muscle tension, easing discomfort, improving circulation, and helping with overall respiratory health. This feature is especially helpful for patients with limited mobility or chronic lung conditions.

Integrated Body Warmer for Comfort and Circulation

A built-in warming system gently delivers heat along the patient’s back, positioned directly above the alternating air cells. This warmth promotes blood flow, supports immune health, and encourages relaxation. It is especially beneficial for patients who are at risk of pressure ulcers or who have circulation challenges. The comforting heat can also help reduce stiffness and enhance overall comfort during long periods of bedrest.

Multiple Rotation Angles (15°/25°/40°):

The mattress offers various turning options—including 15-degree left, 25-degree left or right, 25-degree automatic rotation, and 40-degree automatic rotation—to meet individual patient needs. These controlled turning motions help improve lung function by assisting the movement of phlegm, reduce the risk of pulmonary infections, support physical therapy progress, and encourage gentle activity while the patient is in bed. This rotation system is especially helpful for patients who cannot reposition themselves.

15° Self-lateral Rotation:

The OB-2650 provides a gentle 15-degree self-lateral rotation that automatically inflates and deflates specific air cells in a wave-like pattern. This movement helps redistribute weight, relieve pressure points, promote circulation, improve sleep quality, and reduce the risk of bedsores—particularly for individuals who are unable to turn on their own. 

Patented Inflatable Air-Filled Guardrails

The patented inflatable air-filled guardrails provide a safe and comfortable alternative to traditional metal side rails. They inflate or deflate with a single button and include a mid-section opening for safe and easy entry or exit. These soft yet supportive guardrails help prevent falls without causing bruising or discomfort, making them ideal for long-term care facilities and home caregiving environments where both safety and comfort are priorities.

Patented “Easy Go” Bedpan Function

This patented bedpan function allows caregivers to press a single button to deflate four air cells beneath the patient’s buttocks in about 20 seconds, creating a recessed opening for a bedpan. This makes in-bed toileting far easier and more comfortable for the patient while significantly reducing the caregiver’s physical workload. It also improves safety, hygiene, and dignity for patients who are bedridden.

Patented “Easy Go” Shampoo Function

The patented shampoo function gently deflates the head section of the mattress to create a recessed area that can hold a shampoo basin within 20 seconds. This allows caregivers to wash a patient’s hair in bed with minimal movement, making the process more comfortable for patients who cannot be safely moved to a sink or shower. This feature helps reduce unnecessary repositioning while improving comfort and hygiene.

Patient-Centered Safety Design

The mattress includes a sinking feature that lowers the surface up to four inches while the patented four-inch guardrails remain in place, creating an eight-inch-deep soft safety barrier. This helps keep the patient properly centered during alternating pressure therapy and during self-lateral rotation—even at angles up to 40 degrees. These features are especially important for individuals with Stage 1 through Stage 4 pressure ulcers or skin that is vulnerable to moisture-related breakdown. 

Fowler & Seating

The Fowler and seating function provides additional support under the torso and seat when the head of the bed is raised, helping prevent the patient from sliding or bottoming out and reducing pressure in seated positions.
