The OB-3620 UltraAir is designed to help prevent bedsores and keep skin healthy for anyone who spends long periods in bed. It provides gentle alternating air pressure and cooling airflow that ease pressure on the body, help the skin stay dry, and reduce irritation—allowing the patient to rest more comfortably and safely.

Cell-on-Cell Mattress Design / 24H Power Outage Protection

The mattress uses a cell-on-cell design, which means the lower layer stays inflated for up to 24 hours during a power outage to help prevent the patient from sinking down or “bottoming out.” If the power fails, the system provides both audio and visual alerts as long as the air hose remains connected to the control unit. The easy-to-use control unit, located at the foot of the bed, allows caregivers to manage all major functions quickly and confidently even in urgent situations.

Multiple Rotation Angles (15°/25°/40°):

The mattress provides a variety of rotation options, including 15-degree left turns, 25-degree left or right turns, 25-degree automatic rotation, and 40-degree automatic rotation. These gentle, controlled movements help keep the patient active in bed, assist lung function by helping move mucus, reduce the risk of respiratory infections, and support better outcomes during physical therapy or long-term care.

15° Self-lateral Rotation:

Using specialized air cells, the mattress offers a continuous 15-degree self-lateral rotation. This gentle wave-like motion redistributes weight, eases pressure points, supports healthy blood circulation, and helps improve sleep quality. It also plays an important role in preventing bedsores for patients who cannot turn themselves.

Patented Inflatable Air-Filled Guardrails

The OB-3620 features patented inflatable guardrails that provide a soft but secure alternative to traditional metal side rails. These rails inflate or deflate with a single button and help prevent falls without the bruising or discomfort associated with hard metal rails. A mid-section opening allows safe and easy entry and exit, making the system ideal for both long-term care and home caregiving environments.

Vibration Massager to Aid Phlegm Removal

The mattress includes four built-in vibration massagers controlled by a smart microprocessor with multiple modes. These gentle vibrations help loosen chest congestion, support phlegm removal, reduce muscle tension and discomfort, promote healthy circulation, and improve respiratory wellness. This feature is especially valuable for patients with limited mobility or chronic lung conditions.

Integrated Body Warmer for Comfort and Circulation

A built-in warming system delivers gentle heat along the patient’s back, positioned just above the alternating air cells. This soothing warmth helps improve circulation, support immune function, and encourage relaxation. Patented “Easy Go” Bedpan Function

With the press of a single button, the mattress deflates four air cells beneath the buttocks within 20 seconds, creating a recessed opening for a bedpan. This convenient feature makes in-bed toileting more comfortable for the patient and far easier for the caregiver. It reduces the need for lifting and physically strenuous transfers, supporting better safety, hygiene, and comfort during toileting care.

Patented “Easy Go” Shampoo Function

The patented shampoo feature allows caregivers to wash the patient’s hair in bed with minimal movement. When activated, the head section of the mattress gently deflates to create a recessed space for a shampoo basin within about 20 seconds. This process makes hair washing smoother, safer, and significantly more comfortable for individuals who cannot sit up or be moved to a sink.

Patient-Centered Safety Design

The mattress surface can gently sink up to four inches while the patented four-inch guardrails stay in place, creating a soft eight-inch deep safety boundary. This design keeps the patient centered and secure during alternating pressure cycles and during rotations up to 40 degrees. It also supports patient centralization, ensuring the patient remains safely positioned while still giving caregivers easy access for repositioning, hygiene, and daily care tasks.
